Scope and Contents From the Collection: This collection contains a xerox copy of the typescript of "The Old Adam," an unpublished novel called with a West Texas setting written by John Anderson. Anderson, a 1976 graduate of Rice University, wrote the novel while pursuing a Ph.D. at Yale University. At the time this typescript was accessioned (1983), Anderson was a professor at Pennsylvania University; the novel was unpublished.
